About

I am a Copenhagener living with my Australian husband and our toddler who likes to keep me on my toes, while making me laugh every day and teaching me so much about life and love.

This space is rooted in my own experiences and passions - my love for yoga as a student and a teacher, and my deep motivation for supporting women through pregnancy, birth and beyond.

“Focus on yourself

and not the world.

Fight the battles

inside you first

and then watch

the world change

around you.”

Yoga

I’ve been practicing yoga since my late teens. For me, yoga is about creating harmony within myself and a contrast to the busy life that most of us lead. In our modern world, being extroverted, reactive and always moving forwards, are highly valued qualities and I see yoga as a way to find inner peace when confronted with the stresses of daily life.

When I guide yoga it is aligned with my own practice. My classes are about moving and breathing with whatever is present and to switch the focus from our thinking selves into our sensing and intuitive selves. My first teacher training took place in Rishikesh in North India and was a traditional hatha yoga training. This was a beautiful experience and it gave me a solid foundation for sharing the wisdom of yoga, meditation and pranayama. Since then I’ve done more than 800 hours of training and course-work and I have evolved my style of teaching. I emphasize guiding my classes so that every single student becomes curious about what is actually going on in their bodies. I am truly fascinated by what we can achieve when we dive into our own layers and listen to our inherent wisdom. It is my belief that we can use the yoga practice as a tool of understanding ourselves better, and that we can bring that wisdom with us beyond the yoga mat and use it in our relationship, both the one we have with ourselves, the people around us and the world in general.

Doula support

I have always been very fascinated with pregnancy and birth, and I’ve been teaching prenatal yoga since 2017. My own experience with becoming a mother was both beautiful and raw and life changing on so many levels. It showed me the importance of having a solid foundation of support and it gave me the motivation I needed to start training as a doula. In working with women and their families my aim is to be a constant support through one of the biggest - if not the biggest - journeys of their lives. I believe motherhood starts at the beginning of pregnancy and our experiences as new mothers are deeply rooted in the experiences we have in pregnancy and birth. Therefore it is crucial to feel safe, seen and empowered in your transformation. This is my mission.

My background

My background and experiences with the academic world, the spiritual world and the therapeutic world has gotten me to where I am today and I use all three aspects in the approach to my work. I am grateful to all my teachers and honored to be sharing the thoughts, philosophies and ideas with my students and clients.
